Alcohol & Substance Use / Recovery

Society glamorizes drinking and how things seem to appear on the outside rather than how they are on the inside. It’s easy to seek relief by using alcohol or drugs, shopping, sex, or overeating, and feelings like anxiety, depression, anger, loneliness and fear are incredibly common. People then grapple with shame and guilt about how to move forward. But fortunately, sobriety and seeking help has become more acceptable.

I work with adult clients from college age onward who are struggling with alcohol and/or substance use issues. Whether you are sobriety curious, in the early stages of recovery, transitioning from an inpatient- program to an outpatient program, an in-patient program back to daily life, or everything in-between, partnering with an addiction expert can help you take control of your life.

I am very supportive of 12 step-work, but I can also work with people who do not want to utilize that model, and help clients find what works best for them as an individual. My goal is to ensure that you have the most effective support network for you, whatever that may look like. We will periodically assess treatment plan goals in order to stay on track about your recovery.
